Get to know Dallas Wood

March 3, 2018 | By Dallas Wood

How long have you been a Real Estate Agent?

3 years, real estate runs in my family. My parents and grandparents were in real estate before I was born.

What is your favorite hobby outside of Real Estate?

Spending time with my husband and daughter. Adventuring, eating and crafting.

What has been your most memorable moment in real estate so far?

My most memorable moment in real estate would have to be the very first young little family I helped purchase their first home. It was a fixer upper in Waianae on Oahu and they turned it in to the perfect home to raise their baby.

What is your favorite place to eat in St George?

I’m super hooked on the Virgin Berri Food Truck. It’s sooooooo good.

What is the one thing you want your clients to know about you?

My goal is to provide you with a professional, personable, enjoyable experience that exceeds your expectations. When I first began my career in Real Estate I knew I wanted to use it to do more. To foster a positive impact on our community. I thought what better way than making a financial contribution to the new home owners I’ve worked so closely with on the journey to homeownership? So, I created this objective. I provide a financial contribution to lesson the financial costs associated with closing for my clients. Or the client can choose a local non profit or charity for me to make a donation impacting the community in a potentially even greater sense.

What is the most frequently asked question you get from your clients?

A question I often get asked is: Do I think it’s a good time to buy a home?

It’s better to buy a home early in 2018 as interest rates are expected to rise. Which lowers the amount you’re qualified for. Demand is high and supply is extremely low, which will lead to a continued increase in home prices.

When you were a kid, what is it that you wanted to become?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a marine biologist or zoologist. I LOVE animals!

What have you found to be the most effective way to sell a home?

The most effective way to sell a home is creative marketing. I pride myself on my proven marketing strategy. I will arrange for your home to be professionally cleaned, professional photography, videography, to showcase your home in it’s best light, all included in my services. First impression is critical when selling your home, it plays a crucial role in setting the overall tone for your home. The internet is one of the top instrumental tools buyers use to find their next home. Curb appeal, staging, photography and videography plays a major role in ensuring your home shines through the sometime voluminous inventory.

What is one life lesson being a real estate agent has taught you?

One life lesson being a real estate agent has taught me is that Real Estate transactions are like snowflakes.

No two real estate transactions are like. Time, place and the parties involved mold each transaction into a unique one, like a snowflake or fingerprint. It’s my job to uncover the particular details of each scenario and use those to negotiate and coordinate the best interests of my customers.
